Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. AA HA Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Take it with food if stomach upset occurs. How AA HA Tablet works AA HA Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Bromhexine, dextromethorphan and phenylephrine which relieve cough. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. AA HA Tablet related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE AA HA Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR AA HA Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. Lactation CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Information regarding the use of AA HA Tablet during lactation is not available. Please consult your doctor. Driving UNSAFE AA HA Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Kidney SAFE IF PRESCRIBED AA HA Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of AA HA Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Liver UNSAFE AA HA Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
