Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aaz-Mectin Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. How Aaz-Mectin Tablet works Aaz-Mectin Tablet is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to muscle and nerve cells of worms causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that they lose energy and die. This treats your infection effectively. Aaz-Mectin Tablet related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE Aaz-Mectin Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Aaz-Mectin Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. Lactation SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Aaz-Mectin Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Driving UNSAFE Aaz-Mectin Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Kidney SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Aaz-Mectin Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Aaz-Mectin Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Liver CAUTION Aaz-Mectin Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Aaz-Mectin Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
