Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Abmac Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. How Abmac Tablet works Abmac Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Acebrophylline, Desloratadine and Montelukast. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Desloratadine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose and improves your symptoms. Abmac Tablet related warnings Alcohol UNSAFE Abmac Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Abmac Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. Lactation CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Information regarding the use of Abmac Tablet during lactation is not available. Please consult your doctor. Driving UNSAFE Abmac Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Kidney CAUTION Abmac Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Abmac Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
