Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Abmolac Tablet is to be taken with food. This will help to avoid stomach upset. How Abmolac Tablet works Abmolac Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Clavulanic Acid and Lactobacillus. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This treats your infection, but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well. Lactobacillus is added to restore the balance of healthy bacteria. Abmolac Tablet related warnings Alcohol CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Abmolac Tablet. Please consult your doctor. Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Information regarding the use of Abmolac Tablet during pregnancy is not available. Please consult your doctor. Lactation SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Abmolac Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Driving UNSAFE Abmolac Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Abmolac Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive. Kidney CAUTION Abmolac Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Abmolac Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Liver CAUTION Abmolac Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
